This Monday I took my middle and my little to the zoo. They ran amok while I indulged in all the inspiration. There’s nothing quite like the inherent beauty of nature. I’m reminded of something interesting a drawing instructor said one day in class, “man-made objects are much less interesting than the organic nature.” A fun style that has been emerging accentuates that natural beauty by boasting earthy colors, slouchy furnishings, and vivid tribal prints. When I envision this style, I think of a bungalow with accents from world travels, hand knotted rugs, and woven furnishings.
