Styling with Plants, My New Obsession

I may be becoming the plant lady and I’m not mad about it. Plants are my favorite accessories these days. Why? Let me count the ways…they add a pop of color, while remaining neutral, they add the textural interest that can take a blah space to the next level, and the coze factor of a plant-filled room is unmatched. Not to mention, they purify our indoor air.

My personal plant favorites are succulents, which I’ve had great success with because I’m naturally good at forgetting to water my plants and that’s just what succulents want. If you overwater, they’re goners. If you ignore they adore! Unfortunately, most succulents need a lot of natural light and they get sad quickly without it. The good news is that there are some great low light plants that are equally impressive. My favorites are the snake plant (Sansevieria), ponytail palm (Beaucarnea recurvata), and anything from the philodendron family. All of these beauties are super low maintenance and easy to keep alive. My parting message: forget the fakes and dive into the plant pond. You won’t regret it!

Hugs,

Erin
